Is Tresemme Shampoo Good for Your Hair?

The very first thing that impressed me about the brand Tresemme is that they have a section called “Hair Quiz” where you can get custom Tresemme product recommendations concerning individual hair problems, hair needs and styles and also hair routine advice for every hair type.

I bet there is no other brand that does that and has a wider variety of product ranges concerning every hair type, styles and problems.

Yes, you name a specific hair concern and they have products for that be it for curls or wavy hair or straight hair or oily scalp or chemically treated hair or coloured hair and the list goes on and on.

But are Tresemme products good or safe for your hair?

To know this, I contacted Tresemme website, and they gave the following answers for my queries:

The first question that I had asked them was:

Is Tresemme vegan?

And they answered:

“Tresemme products are not certified as vegan. We’ll share your interest with the team and see if vegan formulas are part of the future innovation plan. As of today, we’re PETA-certified and assure you that none of our products nor ingredients are tested on animals.”

They further added that they have a line of products that are made of completely natural ingredients and plant based protein:

“We welcome you to check out our Pro Infusion line that is made with natural coconut oil and plant-based protein.”

So, if you are someone who is into completely natural products and do not want to put any chemical on your hair, here you go!

My next question for them was:

“Do Tresemme products have harsh chemicals in them?”

To which they answered:

“Tresemme products use only the highest quality ingredients to create safe, science-backed, professional-quality formulas to give you salon quality hair at home.”

But when I checked their ingredient lists, they do contain chemicals, but that’s for treating your specific concerns of the hair which I am sure isn’t possible with just the use of completely natural ingredients.

Is it safe to use Tresemme shampoo?

Yes, it’s completely safe to use Tresemme shampoos and for that matter any of their products. I myself have been using Tresemme shampoo for the past 15 years and I have no complaints with them. 

Some of their range do contain SLS, parabens, added preservatives and mineral oils, but if you are hesitant to our that in your hair, you can go for their Pro Protect range which is made of all natural Moroccan argan oil and their Pro Infusion line which contains all natural coconut oil.

Is Tresemme shampoo chemical free?

I have already mentioned in the introduction section of the article that when I contacted Tresemme and asked if their products are chemical free, they answered that all their products are made with the highest standards and pose no danger to your hair and health. 

What are the disadvantages of Tresemme shampoo?

Truly speaking, there is no such disadvantages of using Tresemme shampoo. But yes, they do contain parabens and SLS that might have long term side effects which are yet unknown.

If you are allergic to these products, they may give you a slight tingling or itching sensation which will subside after sometime.

Is Tresemme shampoo good for hair fall?

Yes, Tresemme shampoo works great for hairfall and the range is called “Tresemme hair fall defence” range. The products are proven to minimise breakage and thus hair fall.

What makes Tresemme better than the others?

Tresemme has products for all and any hair care concern. You name a hair type and a hair concern and they have products designed for every need.
