But there are some secret ways to use them as face washes and that’s exactly what I am going to share with you in this article.

1. Papaya and yoghourt face wash

Papaya and yoghourt face wash

Papaya is an excellent antioxidant and helps in clearing the skin of all blemishes and also adds glow to the skin. Yoghurt also aids in achieving that fair and glowing skin also.

So, all you need to do is just take a big slice of papaya and crush it into a paste. Then add two spoons of yoghurt into it and mix into a fine paste. Put it on your face and keep for 10 minutes and then wash your face with Lukewarm water.

2. Lemon and glycerine face wash

Lemon is citrusy in nature and helps to add a glow to the skin. But the problem with lemon is that it strips the skin of all oils. Not a problem when mixed with glycerine. Glycerine helps to add glow as well moisturise the skin.

Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice and a few drops of glycerine to a bowl. Apply the mixture to your face and keep for 5 minutes. Wash your face with normal water.

3. Gram flour and milk/yoghurt face wash

Gram flour is known to add that glow on your face besides brightening it. Milk is also an excellent ingredient for obtaining that silky smooth, glowy and soft skin.

Mix the two together and work into a thick paste. Gram flour also has soft granules that help to exfoliate gently and bring out the glow.

4. Rice flour face wash

The Koreans and the Chinese have been using this ingredient since ages. Rice flour scrub or rice water wash is considered at the top of their skincare list to achieve bright and glowy skin.

5. Tomato and aloevera face wash

Take a tomato and work it into a paste. Now add aloe vera gel into it and mix the two ingredients. Apply the mixture on your face and wash off after 5 to 10 minutes and see the glow on your skin.

6. Yoghourt and honey face wash

Yoghurt is very good for the skin and has antibacterial properties. But little do we know about its use in making the skin glowy because a part of yoghurt has lactic acid too.

Honey moisturises the skin besides giving it a subtle glow. Mix the two and apply on your face. Wash off after 5 minutes.

7. Turmeric and milk face wash

Better if you get the raw turmeric roots or else the turmeric powder will even work. Put the turmeric powder in a bowl of milk and put it in the refrigerator.

Take it out whenever necessary and wipe your face by dipping a cotton ball into the liquid mixture. Then wash off with normal water.

8. Milk, honey and turmeric wash

All the 3 ingredients are proven to add glow to the face and also provide intense moisturisation. Mix the 3 in a bowl (4 spoons of milk, 1 spoon of honey and a pinch of turmeric).

You can store the mixture in the refrigerator to use whenever necessary. The shell life will be 3 days. Just apply the mixture with a cotton ball and then keep for 10 minutes. Wash off with normal water.
